let's get cross-fit and make our flash mob

check out the website of the place that i workout at in eaton.  there are many crossfit gyms around colorado, including loveland, eaton, durango, etc.  i enjoy it because the workouts are short, intense, and there are a variety of ones to do.  every day is hard. harder. hardest. and makes you want to come back again and again.  look at the part that talks about the benefits of water-amazing.

check it out. see for yourself.

switching gears a bit-
here is a cool video that jane and rachael showed me of a flash mob.  for their final project in social dance class, they have to come up with a flash mob.  how fun and a creative way of being a choreographer.

this video was of michigan ave where they surprised oprah during the black eyed peas concert. i definitely got goosebumps after watching.

here is another one of grand central station.  such a sweet idea, but i don't think i could stay still like that.

any ideas for coming up with your own flash mob or crossfit workout? share!

back to reality

Being back in america has been such a relief for me and my family.  i am so glad that i got to spend christmas and new years with my family and friends.  i can't believe that it has been a little more than 2 weeks since i have been back and i could not be happier (well maybe if i was closer to Dave).

Christmas was a joyful time spending it with both sides of the family.  we spent 3 days at winter park and went boarding one of those days.  my aunt, uncle, and cousins from vegas were in town and it was fun playing games and more games, opening presents, and taking 2 hours for family pictures.  Dave got to spend the holidays with my family and I and even though his family missed him back in Michigan, everyone enjoyed him being here.  We had the McClary's side over for Christmas at our house, where we played like 8 hours of straight game action.  It was a lot of good food and good company!

New Years was an enjoyable and fun time in Durango.  Dave and I drove down on Wednesday before New Years and saw (get this!) 20 cops on our way down: the most  i have ever seen.  we built a great snow fort with a slide and relaxed for a week or so.  Dave worked as a bartender on new years, but made good money.

i officially start my new job on monday in loveland working for rebound sports and physical therapy.  i am extremely excited about it and think i will like it.  dave and i will hopefully get to see each other soon and i will try and make it down quite a few weekends to durango and hopefully to enjoy the snow too!

Happy 2011 to everyone and hope it is treating you well so far.  That is most of the updates in my life for now and will write more soon.

bye for now!
